Sunday 14th March

Welcome to Lapford Community Church - Mothering Sunday 2021.  Todays service has been put together by Jackie.  We are really pleased to have Rev Tim Haines giving us an introduction interview at the beginning as well as a talk later.  We are also delighted to include interviews with some willing ladies, finding out what Motherhood and Mothering Sunday mean to them.
First, though, lets talk to Tim.

Faithfull One so unchanging

Dear Heavenly Father we thank you that you are a faithful God. This morning we lift up to you and remember all Ladies/Mums. The new mums, single mums, those that don't have a relationship with or have lost their mums.  The ones whose families are far away and the ones that for whatever reason were not able to be a mum. The ones that have so much joy in their families and the ones that have so many difficulties. The mums that have lost a child or children and the ones that have adopted or fostered new families. Lord, there are so many different combinations and circumstances but we know that you will hold each one close to you.  In your name we ask this. Amen

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Go tell it on the mountain

God is working His purpose out

How Great Thou Art

Reflect on the words from the Hymn we have just sung,

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die - I scarce can take it in:
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:

Let us play the next song quietly now and thank God as we break bread together.  Thank Him for dying on the cross for each one of us.

There is a Redeemer

There is no love like the love of Jesus

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all, both now and evermore. Amen.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this mornings worship.
